Genuine and damn Rock'n'Roll. Despite all their visual excesses (which unfairly overshadowed their talent), they remained credible until 1977. Then they transformed into a business machine. In the '80s, they survived thanks to their first six albums, still producing decent LPs. In the '90s, they brought their balls back out. Since the Re-Union, especially in the last ten years, they've become a cover band of themselves. But Rock, like it or not, was also KISS! Rock Bottom!
