It ruined everything, it marked the end of the great cartoon themes. Before her, it was all tough stuff: think of Daitarn 3, Tiger Man, Devilman, Great Mazinger, Jeeg Robot d'Acciaio, and so on. Then she came along and the whiny nonsense began, like Mila and Shiro, "My name is Jem, I'm a beautiful and extravagant singer, I sing rock and roll," Alvin Superstar, Kiss Me Licia, Fivelandia, Fivelandia 2, Fivelandia 3, Fivelandia 4, Fivelandia 5... Fivelandia 12,000. For crying out loud, enough already!

Cristina D'Avena

Italian singer and TV personality best known for performing Italian-language cartoon and TV theme songs. She debuted at the Zecchino d’Oro in 1968 with Il valzer del moscerino and later became a Mediaset/Fininvest mainstay, releasing long-running Fivelandia and I tuoi amici in TV series and the collaborative Duets albums.
