Bill Bruford

Something spectacular. A technically highly skilled drummer, cold but precise like a Swiss watch. Exceptional with Yes when he was still human, since 1973 he moved on to King Crimson and it’s the apotheosis, transforming into a cold, brilliant drumming metronome. From "Discipline" onwards, his human side completely disappears, the Bruford-machine reaches levels of pure excellence. Also excellent as a solo artist.

English drummer and composer, original drummer of Yes, later with King Crimson, UK, and Genesis (touring), and leader of Earthworks. Renowned for a jazz-influenced, polyrhythmic approach; active 1968–2009.
