Alberto Sordi

Alberto Sordi (1920–2003) was an Italian actor, director, screenwriter and comedian, a central figure of commedia all’italiana. Active from 1937 to 1998, he starred in and directed numerous films, including Io e Caterina (1980). He never married and is affectionately nicknamed “Albertone”.
