The Clash

They relate to punk rock about as much as Pearl Jam relate to grunge... they rode the wave, they wrote good, excellent tracks mixed with pure chart hits, they built up their little nest egg, and today they're remembered by everyone as one of the quintessential punk rock bands, nonsense!... the same pretentious English.

The Clash

English punk rock band formed in London in 1976. Core lineup included Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon and Topper Headon. Influential for blending punk with reggae, rockabilly, funk and early rap; disbanded mid-1980s.
