Evanescence

Once upon a time there was a friend of mine who listened to and (got into) really good stuff….. One fine day, he got damn obsessed with this little group, whatever we want to call it (goth-fashion-pop?) that was worth nothing, and from there it was an apotheosis of gothic fetishes and reasoning in the style of little dark-kids from South Park. A hair from a gothic lolita pulls more than a cart of oxen.

Evanescence

Evanescence are an American rock band centered around vocalist/pianist Amy Lee, known for blending heavy guitars with piano/strings and gothic-leaning atmospheres. They broke worldwide in 2003 with Fallen and later shifted styles across The Open Door (2006) and the self-titled Evanescence (2011), with notable lineup changes discussed heavily by reviewers.
