they were a historical band, there's no doubt about it, but... upon closer examination, unfortunately without intending to, they gave rise to everything that is ignorance and stupidity in music, both in the purely musical aspect and in the "lifestyle" factor, creating that wave of toddlers who nowadays think punk means look, blink 182 and middle fingers (and a lot of money asked from their millionaire dads), shamefully ignoring the existence of bands like Alkaline Trio or the entire first wave of American hardcore punk...

Sex Pistols

Sex Pistols were an English punk rock band formed in London, widely credited as a key catalyst of the UK punk movement. They released one studio album, "Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols" (1977), and broke up in 1978 after a turbulent, highly publicized run.
