Arcane, mysterious, sometimes almost indecipherable, creators of a dark, powerful metal with complex rhythms. This Californian band has become a sort of "cult" for me. The leader of the group is guitarist Adam Jones (an expert in animation and special effects), supported by singer Maynard James Keenan, English bassist Justin Chancellor, and "the metronome" Danny Carey. Daily hells, body & spirit: perhaps this could be a good summary to encapsulate them.

Tool is an American rock band from Los Angeles known for long, complex compositions, dense production and striking visuals; their albums (Ænima, Lateralus, Undertow among others) are central to modern progressive/alternative metal.
