Luther Allison

Luther Allison (1939–1997) was an American Chicago blues guitarist and singer known for his powerful voice and electric guitar work.

Recorded the 1972 album Bad News Is Coming for Motown (presented as his recording debut on that label); influenced by Freddie King (mentor), Buddy Guy and Otis Rush; known for powerful vocals and electric Chicago blues style. The reviewed album includes covers of Willie Dixon and B.B. King material and original compositions such as "Raggedy And Dirty" and the title track.
