Luther Allison (1939–1997) was an American Chicago blues guitarist and singer known for his powerful voice and electric guitar work.

Recorded the 1972 album Bad News Is Coming for Motown (presented as his recording debut on that label); influenced by Freddie King (mentor), Buddy Guy and Otis Rush; known for powerful vocals and electric Chicago blues style.
