THE REVIEW

Even though many debaserians push aside my reviews, I stubbornly continue to write more, for their "joy"...

It's 1995 when this "Penthouse" by Luna comes out, after the great test of "Bewitched".

But Wareham and company here are uninspired and the album doesn't rise above adequacy, no matter what Rolling Stones magazine says, which even placed it in the high positions of the best albums of '95 chart.

The only noteworthy tracks are the tender "Chinatown" and the dark "Bonnie and Clyde", which however stands out only for its ugliness and cacophony, dominated as it is by an extremely shrill violin.

Album recommended only to fans of the group.

Summary by Bot

Luna's 1995 album Penthouse follows up their praised debut Bewitched but falls short of expectations. Despite some notable tracks like Chinatown and Bonnie and Clyde, overall the album is uninspired and merely adequate. The review advises the album mainly to existing fans of the band.
