After dissolving his Galaxie 500 in 1991, Dream pop guitarist and singer Dean Wareham formed his new group called "Luna," which produced this debut on August 18, 1992 (if it can be called a debut).

The album features a "dreamy" and calm sound, with excellent arrangements and flows smoothly, presenting itself as a great way to relax after a day of study or work.

The musicians know their craft and are heavily influenced by the Velvet Underground and, to a lesser extent, by REM.

Noteworthy tracks include "Slash your Tires," a highly catchy power ballad supported by an incredible guitar riff that sticks in your head and tells the story of a love gone awry, and the quieter, more melancholic "Crazy people."

In conclusion of this brief "invitation to listen," we can say that this is an album that cannot be missing from the collection of anyone who loves Dream pop and shoegaze.

Tracklist Lyrics and Videos

01   Anesthesia (03:40)

I see you comin down
Your life is flashin before ya
I see you comin round
You're talking over and over
You know I tried to please ya
You're under anesthesia
I see you comin down
Too bad there's nothing left over
I don't know what you mean
You're talkin over and over
You know I tried to please ya
You're under anesthesia
You know I tried to please ya
You're under anesthesia
I see you wakin up
And now the day is upon ya
The party's over now
You're talkin over and over
You know I tried to please ya
You're under anesthesia
