"Una Mattina" is a collection of piano studies by Ludovico Einaudi. Is this description enough? I don't think so. The simple term "studies" can have many facets: ideological studies, avant-garde, based on a matured musical idea? Or perhaps emotional studies, where the only tools used are real-life experiences based on the track Joy & Sorrow. The latter concept is the one used for "Una Mattina". Agreeing with many critics, I must say that the album in question is not Einaudi's best, but perhaps it is the truest, the one that on a rainy day can bring tears and on a sunny day can make you smile melancholically. Through tracks like "Ora", "Nuvole Bianche", "Nuvole Nere", "Resta Con Me", the pianist manages to convey his feelings perfectly better than with any other form of art. The triumph of musical emotion.

Accompanied by the magical weeping of a cello in three tracks, Einaudi's piano vibrates and tries to tell a story: of the latter, sensations, places, scents can be clearly perceived, almost like "listening to a photo album"? Love, sudden joy, despair, freedom? Seek your own feeling.

"Una Mattina" is a drop in the ocean compared to the classical music in circulation, and there are also several flaws present. But it's still an album with great emotional power. An album for poets, for dreamers, for lovers, for the desperate, for the angry, a perfect soundtrack for any moral need, film music. Therefore, my advice is as follows: let yourself go, for once, to the melody? Don't have intellectual pretensions (very present on this site), sit down, relax, close your eyes and let the music do the rest, make you angry, smile, cry.
