I discovered that I have a psychological illness, caused by the continuous listening to these CDs, which led me to ruin my old youthful idols; those myths have melted in my head, and looking at them now in their guitar maneuvers composed of 3 chords, it's like watching someone trying to stick it up my backside. One of these is Ligabue.
Ligabue is another "artist" who managed to climb the highest peaks of success, even reaching and surpassing another artist who follows the Italian "Rock" trend, and I’m talking about Vasco Rossi.
In September 2005, Ligabue set a record, you will certainly remember it, the famous Campovolo with its 200 thousand paying spectators, its famous 3 stages, and its sound that seemed to be absent. Ligabue also presented this album with a few tracks contained in it. The new album awaited for three years since the rock-pop of “Fuori come va?", the Cagabue wants to show people that he can still produce music.
How did I get it? The blame lies with a friend of mine who managed to bring me an original copy, which wasn’t even his, and since I had to burn a few CDs between Led Zeppelin and The Doors, there was this CD. I thought I wouldn’t bother with it, given that I was advised to keep my distance, but I wanted to try anyway, at least to see if I could like it, after all Ligabue has still left a mark on me.
When the 10 tracks (excluding the intro) were finished, I threw the CD away, also being a burned copy, I had one more reason to discard it. But what is this... a music CD? An album? An archaeological artifact? If you want the answer, call a scientist to research it. In this review, I’ll play the expert because you truly risk overturning the theory of human evolution. Let's start with the first track and the first Hit of this mess, let's talk about "il giorno dei giorni", a track with the same chord patterns as the old songs, a track with a rather meaningless text thrown together to say something more than usual: "Femmina come la terra, femmina come la guerra... femmina come l'entrata.. femmina come le carte" (that's why lately I have a sexual attraction with my poker cards). Unfortunately, this is a more moderate episode (in a negative sense, that is) compared to what will follow.
The second track "Happy Hour" is a banal commercial song that follows the false line of Vasco Rossi's "Come stai", both have become summer hits, and both were in the Vodafone commercial (is it trendy?). "L'amore conta" is a torment of a song, Cagabue's voice in this record sounds like a whining dog, and moreover, the lyrics also have senseless and banal metaphors, in addition to the repetitive and boring music."Cosa vuoi che sia" and "Le donne lo sanno" border on the singer’s mind who has never done anything above decency, after the first two CDs that played at the threshold of a barely passing grade, what came after was only a pale imitation. If we think about topics covered in some songs like the two mentioned above, you can't help but laugh because they are useless. We come to the track "Lettera G", a nice long song, and here is the challenge for those who manage to listen to it all: "doesn’t your mother lean out the window anymore to shout to you to' ca"? Now to fill the melodic voids, they no longer use "eh.. ohh" but the abbreviations of local dialects!!! There is little to say that poor G. must have turned in his grave or even become a zombie after hearing this song dedicated to him. After that, I have nothing more to say than we are faced with uselessness and garbage made music, I don’t feel like commenting because first, this seems like an ass-ripping, the last four pieces "Vivere a orecchio""Giorno per giorno""è più forte di me" and "Sono qui per l'amore" (pieces of crap?) are so useless and flaccid that it makes you want to go back and get your money back, amen...
In conclusion, this is a perfect example of trash music, abominable, neither shameful nor praiseworthy. If you're wondering why I'm reviewing this record, it's to give you a warning, some advice so you don't waste money pointlessly.
