Luciano De Crescenzo (1928–2019) was an Italian writer, film director, actor and former engineer, known for popular books on philosophy and films set in Naples, notably Così Parlò Bellavista.

Born 20 August 1928 in Naples; died 18 July 2019 in Naples. Worked as an engineer (including at IBM) before becoming a widely read author and filmmaker. His work often mixes light philosophy, humor and reflections on Neapolitan life.
