Lucia Minutello has been a singer and performer for over ten years.

Throughout this period of activity, she has approached various musical worlds, thus developing her own original way of interpreting. She has always been very attentive to the recovery of Salento traditions, highlighting - through her voice - some environmental and social themes of her homeland.

Hence, Lucia's need to tell the story of one of the first transsexuals in Southern Italy arises. Mara's story is a pretext to relive a period in the lives of many of us, of a city, of a neighborhood (the "giravolte"). Telling, and not just singing, is what Lucia has done in this song, which earned her the 2016 "Mia Martini" award as the best performer.

Subsequently, a video was released, shot in Lecce, in the streets of the historic center, specifically in the Giravolte.

A real physical place, but also imaginary and imagined like the characters who cross it daily.

Mara lives in every city, and in every city, there are the narrow streets of the historic center, labyrinths full of history, characters, and "trees like lovers that intertwine" – "Bell towers without clocks" – "blackbirds that eat the seeds they steal" – "ancient sinful crafts," moments of life masterfully narrated by Lucia's voice, who collaborated with Giovanni Epifani in writing the lyrics, Pasquale Quaranta and Leone Marco Bartolo in the music composition, and Gianluca Gulluni for the video direction.

"Come, come" and take 4 minutes to listen to "Le giravolte", you will become unwitting protagonists of a strange story of "human hypocrisy".

This song, and consequently the video, are poetry, after all, "every form of art is poetry".
