The second album of the young singer-songwriter from Abruzzo cannot certainly be considered a masterpiece; it definitely won’t go down in history or rank among the best albums of all time.

That being said, "Life is Strange" from my perspective is a decent record, let's say a good product of Italian pop. The album opens with "The Island of the Misfits", a song that primarily condemns cynicism, and one might say, is that all? It continues with the bluesy tones of "Warm Stove", the saccharine "The Sun Cries", "The Champion’s Recipe" (catchy, nothing more).
"I Will Disappear" (presented at Sanremo) is a good ballad, a little less "You Must Give Me More". Not bad is "Hotel Cervo" (but why is it called that?), "Down, Love" and "Government Crisis", but the best part of the album is the finale where you find the tracks "Life is Strange" and "Spice Plantations".

Musically, it is a more rock, more mature album than the previous one, "Calm and Cool" with lyrics ranging from sweet to gritty, expressed with an irreverent, if scornful, yet above all, direct language. An example is the sharp start in "Life is Strange": "even if at first glance I may seem unintelligent, know that that's what I think of many people". Spot on!

In short, a piece of advice for Luca Dirisio: we all know that love makes you suffer, but persist more on your cheeky and irreverent side. In short, it may not be a masterpiece, but it is pleasantly enjoyable to listen to.
