THE REVIEW

They offered him several million pounds for his label a few years ago. He said: "no thanx!". The economic question is irrelevant. Good Looking Record is a way of life. The latest creation from its founder, made famous by the "Earth vol.1-5" compilations, is this album of B-sides, even though it is a "real" record, titled "Producer 05". Overall, it is weaker than the previous entry in the "Producer" series, but the album is still very listenable, revisiting the theme of Jungle infused with Jazz and RNB. The weakness lies in the fact that none of the tracks on the CD manage to display any flashes of genius or particularly successful sounds. The collective trumps individualities, yet the album is still beautiful. We point out a great version of the "Mission Impossible" soundtrack, although I couldn't grasp whether it was a remix, a cover, or a simple remake. Since "Earth volume 6" is set to be released in a few days, I recommend current curious listeners to wait.

Summary by Bot

Producer 05 by LTJ Bukem presents a smooth fusion of Jungle, Jazz, and RnB on a collection of B-sides. While listenable and beautiful, it lacks standout or genius tracks compared to earlier releases. The album maintains the Good Looking Records ethos but doesn't reach the highs of its predecessor. Notable is an intriguing version of the Mission Impossible theme. Fans might prefer awaiting the upcoming Earth volume 6.
