Rating: The message is clear: beyond politics, what matters is having fun.
The way the message is conveyed is almost excellent, a good beat'n'ska directly from the Oi! brigade with PunkRock tones and even a bit of Reggae&Roots at some points.
Unfortunately, politics is still discussed, despite the song "No Politica" by Los Fastidios suggesting otherwise. We're talking about SkinHead Against Racism Prejudice, distinctly anarchic and left-leaning, unfortunately the sound is affected and gets somewhat tainted by extremism. But the result (except for this flaw) is good... unmissable "Homer" by FFD, "Oi! Gio" by Los Fastidios, "Alcoolica" and "La Nostra Città" by the same band, plus, of course, the splendid "Guerra&Odio" by FFD, against moderations. Unfortunately, both moderations and extremisms are wrong, and utopias fail by becoming violent, but, fortunately, music sometimes manages to go beyond. They are not as heavy as Banda Bassotti, thankfully... at least there's that! However, if you have never listened to them, delve into the world of Los Fastidios, searching for spectacular tracks like "Animal Liberation Front" against animal violence... well, this CD is a party for anarchists, but also for music lovers and fans of good Italian ska...
