Enough now! I'm calling everyone to order!

Enough with the three-hundredth review of Jimmy Hendrix and Dream Theater!

Enough with the fakes straight from high school!

And especially enough wasting time writing perfect reviews of perfect albums that nobody cares about because we are all busy blowing air over nothing (see points one and two above).

I'll handle leveling everything. I'll bring everyone's music into one single review, I'll take the goats and the cabbage or, better yet, more birds with one stone.

And what a stone!

I'll write to you about this Italian-musical manifesto: Loretta Goggi Collection. Two CDs, thirty-nine tracks. Where I am, but so are you... yes indeed, no point in stomping your feet, LGC absorbs influences for refined tastes and transforms them into songs for coarse ones... It takes us from Ireland to South America, from England to the USA without ever losing that overall homogeneity, thanks to the versatile voice of Loretta (with an "O").

In the homely spirit of Goggi’s timbre, you can indeed see the desire to move from a dusting of the living room to a hot ready stew, never forgetting that there is Great Music out there...

So why not let my friends hear it too?(she says?)

Quickly done... off with the apron, here’s the microphone, let's go...

I like this one!

Who is this? Rickie Lee Jones?? Mmm let's keep the guitar base... what's the name? Last chance Texan?! No... better call it "Maledetta Primavera"

And what do we have here? Noooo, I want to go to Studio 54 too, but Gianni (Brezza) will absolutely say no. Oh well, give me back the microphone: "Vogliaaaaaaa" to kick everything... to stay in bed...

Mmmh this one here is truly an innovator... but my doorman will never understand it... what a long title... Here comes the flood and what does it mean?? But is the name Peter or Gabriel? The microphone to me! "Dirtelo non dirtelooooooooo...."

Yes, but now enough with the copying... I want to leave my mark too... and earn from the copyright... true Mr. Paolo Buchanan?? You know you still owe me a lot of money for your copying of "il mio uomo"? no! You won't get away with just a couple of hats! For men, no less!

But there are other problems, right, Mrs. Maria...

Luckily the oil crisis is over... now I can sing about love... but without neglecting social issues...

"...Because I also gritted my teeth on the blade of a goodbye
And I know how much it costs to take the risk of living

Of love, make me travel
Fill me up with love
For this night it will be enough"

(pieno d'amore 1982)

Tracklist Lyrics and Videos

01   Maledetta primavera (04:11)

Voglia di stringersi e poi
vino bianco, fiori e vecchie canzoni
e si rideva di noi
che imbroglio era
maledetta primavera.
Che resta di un sogno erotico se
al risveglio è diventato un poema
se a mani vuote di te
non so più fare
come se non fosse amore
se per errore
chiudo gli occhi e penso a te.
Se
per innamorarmi ancora
tornerai
maledetta primavera
che imbroglio se
per innamorarmi basta un'ora
che fretta c'era
maledetta primavera
che fretta c'era
se fa male solo a me.
Che resta dentro di me
di carezze che non toccano il cuore
stelle una sola ce n'è
che mi può dare
la misura di un amore
se per errore
chiudi gli occhi e pensi a me.
Se
per innamorarmi ancora
tornerai
maledetta primavera
che importa se
per innamorarsi basta un'ora
che fretta c'era
maledetta primavera
che fretta c'era
maledetta come me.
Lasciami fare
come se non fosse amore
ma per errore
chiudi gli occhi e pensa a me.
Che importa se
per innamorarsi basta un'ora
che fretta c'era
maledetta primavera
che fretta c'era
lo sappiamo io e te
Na, na, na, na , na , na,
na, na, na, na, na, na,
maledetta primavera
na, na, na, na, na, na...
