THE REVIEW

I had never heard of this band and would never have known them if one morning a few years ago I hadn't walked into a used record store and decided to purchase, at a low price, a cassette without a cover from '88, of a band that, from the name, I immediately thought to be insane.

“Lino e i Mistoterital” is a project born in the province of Bologna, a city that had already seen the birth of other rock-insane bands (like “Skiantos”).

Yes, insane, as also demonstrated by the pseudonyms of the band members (Phil Anka, Steve Cotton Job, Ted Nylon, Lauro O’ Cardigan, Bob Rodiatoce, and Ronnie Shetland), but not only that…

In fact, our guys are ironic but also know how to play and create substantial songs.

“Lino e i Mistoterital” is a rock'n'roll band capable of making people laugh (John Wayne, Cacca cacca ma ve lo dico), but also of surprising with an elegant, refined, touching pop (I peggiori, Aspetterò) and a rap (Sussidiario) well ahead of its time.

Forgotten and underrated.
