Linda Nagata (born 1960 in San Diego; residing in Hawaii) is an American science fiction author known for nanopunk and military-tinged stories. She won the 2011 Nebula Award for the novella 'Goddesses'.

Specializes in nanopunk themes involving nanotechnology, cybernetic overlays, and the intersection of corporations and war. 'The Red: The First Light' (2013) was initially self-published and launched a recognized trilogy.
