LA RECENSIONE

Caliente Y Sensual Y Vivo!!

First of all: the cover is very beautiful and intriguing, and above all, this title "The Living Road" is beautiful because it contains within itself all the elements that make this album a little gem of class in the realm of World Music without borders.

Among the tracks of this 2003 CD (almost 6 years after the excellent debut "La Llorona"), one can perceive everywhere the sense of travel, of setting off on dusty roads at 40° in the shade, searching for something, it doesn't matter what, what matters is to gather the pieces and depart with companions like mariachi guitars, Arabic-derived clarinets, Eastern European accordions, gypsy castanets, trombones, and all that instrumental circus that feeds the gypsy/Mexican music (with a touch of Fado melancholy) so dear to Kusturika and his ilk.

We are in the territories of the soul, of true pathos that the young Mexican singer, a citizen of the world, knows how to convey like few others, using indeed French, Mexican, and even English (browse the track titles!) interpreting the songs with rare mastery, thus baring all her skill and revealing a warm, sensual, and passionate soul. An album "caliente y sensual" that makes you dance barefoot on the worn-out boards of some tavern outside the city and that forcefully brings out the Latin soul hidden in each of us. Because, whether one wants it or not, it's there. Modestly: Olé.

Tracklist Lyrics Videos

01   Con toda palabra (04:30)

Con toda palabra
Con toda sonrisa
Con toda mirada
Con toda caricia

Me acerco al agua
Bebiendo tu beso
La luz de tu cara
La luz de tu cuerpo

Es ruego el quererte
Es canto de mudo
Mirada de ciego
Secreto desnudo

Me entrego a tus brazos
Con miedo y con calma
Y un ruego en la boca
Y un ruego en el alma

Con toda palabra
Con toda sonrisa
Con toda mirada
Con toda caricia

Me acerco al fuego
Que todo lo quema
La luz de tu cara
La luz de tu cuerpo

Es ruego el quererte
Es canto de mudo
Mirada de ciego
Secreto desnudo

Me entrego a tus brazos
Con miedo y con calma
Y un ruego en la boca
Y un ruego en el alma
