LA RECENSIONE

Excellent return for Lexus, with this 2nd self-produced EP, the genre of reference has indeed changed. For those who remember the previous tracks that I highly recommend listening to again in depth, contained in the famous "Nostalgie Catartiche", now the duration in the composition of the tracks has increased, 2 out of 3 are instrumental owing both to space rock and the acid psychedelia of Pink Floyd.
The track "Samsara" is the one most similar to Floyd’s compositions, with delicate sound arpeggios that play at drawing hallucinated patterns, as if they were watercolors in the hands of a painter. The second track is a cover of "Siberia" by Diaframma, which is worth listening to, despite the quality of Fiumani and company's version being unparalleled and unmatched, certainly a tribute to the Florentine band from Lexus. The third, which also gives the title to this EP, "Lexus", is indeed a sort of acid rock of medium duration, where improvisation and the whirlwind use of feedback, wah-wah, and harmonics make the whole context of the piece very successful and bewildering, also well rendered by the excellent electronic drum track.

Test passed with flying colors, even for those who were very disappointed by the debut of this project.

Summary by Bot

Lexus delivers a strong second EP showcasing growth from their debut with longer, mostly instrumental tracks blending space rock and acid psychedelia. The standout track 'Samsara' evokes Pink Floyd's style, while the cover of Diaframma's 'Siberia' serves as a respectful tribute. The title track features dynamic improvisation and effective use of guitar effects and electronic drums. This EP is a success, even for skeptics of the project's start.
