A beautiful reality emerges from the desolate lands of Molise. The musical blend of Our artists unites an apparently schizoid, yet effective, wide range of sounds spanning from pop to death metal, without neglecting some nods to punk and folk. The songs are both in English and Italian, to be precise, four in Italian and five in English. A simple, yet precise production manages to highlight each individual instrument, and the clarity of the sounds helps the release remain light. “CANZONI PER COGLIONI” is a violent album, yet it never becomes too extreme thanks to the pop spirit that completely envelops it. In the more death metal oriented chapters like “WOMEM MUST DIED,” the band demonstrates its ability to play at a high level and produce excellent riffs. In the more violent episodes like “TI CAGO IN BOCCA,” however, it risks at times losing its uniqueness and blending into any grindcore band. Meanwhile, the slower and more reflective songs, like LOVE SONG FOR MONEY and CANZONI PER COGLIONI, surprise with their fine construction, which makes the ten-minute compositions flow with ease: the musicians converse with each other, offering a varied and layered instrumental plot.
