We got to know her a few years ago as quirky, dreamy, just over twenty, with a perpetually disenchanted air. She swept aside the critics and conquered, with her debut album "Okumuki", a gold record that boded well for the vocal, instrumental, and compositional qualities of the artist from Brescia. Since then, L'Aura can boast an exceptionally fast yet quality artistic path, which in her latest album "Sei come me", a special EP of only six tracks, she has fully revealed herself, laying bare and sharing through her always gritty and fairy-tale voice, the complex and unsettling world of femininity, which finds its epicenter in love, in all its forms.

There is a L'Aura who sees herself in the shards of a finished love in "Come spieghi", the precious calling card of this first EP, with the voice of a woman full of passion and sentiment, mastering an exquisitely pop melody, simple, yet without falling into that thin chasm known as banality. A surprise that proves pleasing from the first listen is the reinterpretation, entirely in Italian, of one of the most famous ballads of the 80s, "Total Eclipse Of The Heart", by the raspy Bonnie Tyler, where disarming piano notes accompany a faint, whispered voice that erupts powerfully and intensely in the hook of the song, which leaves no way out. "Now I want you more than ever /now I want you here forever..", without abandoning a sort of resignation that in the final part deciphers and interprets in the best way these poignant "Eclissi del cuore". The fragile yet strong and determined soul of this new compositional spirit emerges, gentle and delicate, in "Sei come me" and "Mi fai impazzire", both guided by a piano accompaniment that would melt even the hardest and most skeptical of hearts, deeply touching a sensitivity that L'Aura has ensured became the key to this artistic and professional turning point. Change of course, change of emotions with the anger of "Penserai", in which L'Aura fiercely screams the end of a burning push and pull, with a phrase "Those who do not love are the only ones who take", describing glimpses of a bleak unrequited love. And it is precisely on this theme that this passionate journey among the reasons of the heart concludes with the perhaps most successful "Invisibile", written as the soundtrack for the film "Una canzone per te", with a direct, intimate, and even lacerating text for those who are forced to be "invisible" in the mind and among the thoughts of those they love.

A less schematic L'Aura, less protected, but much more of a woman in her challenging task of unveiling the nuances of her own life, a favored source of inspiration for such a versatile and creative artist. A sincere and highly appreciable chapter, which significantly adds to the small jewels of one of the most fascinating voices in the Italian scene.

3.5, it has everything.
