THE REVIEW

Since three of my goreviews were deleted, I've decided to write a more serious and grammatically error-free review. I hope I manage to do so.

This time I've decided to talk about the legendary Last Days Of Humanity, creators of a hyper-blasting-goregrind style that is very cavernous and bloody, suited for the most hardcore grindster pogo. Simply put, Last Days Of Humanity are one of the pioneering bands (active since '93) that laid the foundations for the now-famous genre of goregrind alongside Gut and Regurgitate. This CD I will review was released way back in 2000, and despite that, it does not show the slightest signs of age; in fact, it surpasses more recent releases by being one of the leading bands of the most rotten uncompromising goregrind.

This is their second CD after their debut titled "Sounds of Rancid Juices Sloshing Around Your Coffin." The sound is truly commendable with lightning-fast and explosive guitars, double bass drums that smash neurons recorded in the longest possible decay, growls modified with the pitchshifter that are a mix between the sound of a toilet flushing and a man vomiting out his vocal cords, very deep and monotonous as the genre demands.

The titles of the 23 tracks that make up the work are all heavy on the splatter: "Rectum Intestine Inquisition", "Stinky Pulp Under Every Cavity", "Acute and Appealing Hemorrhage", "Purulent Odor in the Stomach", "Defecating Anal Sludge", and many more. I consider it the most successful CD of LDOH and also the most compositionally strong. For those who don’t have it in their collection, it’s time to give these four guys from the Dutch lands a chance.

Rating 10/10.

Last Days of Humanity

Last Days of Humanity are a Dutch goregrind band formed in 1989, notorious for hyper‑blasting drums, pitch‑shifted gutterals, and ultra-short, splatter-obsessed tracks. After disbanding in 2006, they returned and released Horrific Compositions Of Decomposition in 2021.
