Lars Fredrik Frøislie, keyboardist of the Norwegian band Wobbler, continues his refined solo journey with Quattro Racconti, the Italian version of his acclaimed Fire Fortellinger (2023). Released by Karisma Records, the album was born from the meeting with Stefano “Lupo” Galifi, historic vocalist of Museo Rosenbach, whom he met at the Veruno Prog Festival 2024. From this collaboration emerged a work that merges Frøislie’s Nordic sensitivity with the Mediterranean and passionate vocals of Galifi, giving new and surprising expressive strength to symphonic prog.
The keyboardist, master of the mellotron, Moog, and Hammond, builds soundscapes of elegant classicism, where the warmth of the Italian voice introduces epic and radiant nuances. The tracks, already known in their Norwegian version, gain new life here: Il Cavaliere dell’Apocalisse opens in a keyboard whirlwind of great pathos, Cattedrale della Natura weaves environmental and spiritual allegories, while Un Posto sotto il Cielo shines with melancholy and bucolic grace.
Supported by the bass of Nikolai Hængsle, Frøislie signs an album that crosses geographical and stylistic boundaries, revealing a fertile dialogue between musical cultures. Quattro Racconti is a meeting of art and sensibility that seals the ideal bond between the Scandinavian school and the Italian prog tradition.
