About two months ago, I found myself holding this demo. The person who gave it to me said it was the work of a Calabrian band dedicated to a raw and violent thrash, death metal.
Being a fanatic of the genre, I hurried to listen to it with not a little skepticism. At play, I couldn't believe my ears, raw violence with "Bloodshed" bombarding my eardrums. The singer's voice, Marko, with his piercing screams, conveyed all the hatred that the guys from the land of hate have inside. The massacre continues with "Extreme Violence" which is a very direct and less intricate track than the previous one; the strength of this piece lies in the riffs reminiscent of the best Sepultura, and the drums run smoothly like a train.
The following "Total Devastation" is the most complex track of the album, heavily based on mid-tempo and characterized by many doom elements with Marko's voice always taking the lead. In this piece, one can also spot some black influences akin to early Celtic Frost, giving the track a very dark atmosphere. The concluding "The Game OF Death" is the final assault, a ride filled with rage that has its only flaw in a somewhat dispersive structure, but this is just my point of view.
A good job by the Calabrese Land OF Hate, slightly penalized by the recording which is not of great quality but still characterizes the band's work, making it very raw and rough. A work that I recommend to all fans of the genre, and I place it alongside albums from other equally talented underground bands.
