The Catanzaresi Land Of Hate have reached their second work, and I can never thank Antonio enough, who for the second time this year suggests this band that slays with its violent and relentless death/thrash.
The intro of the first song transports us into the world of "Gener(h)ate," a world made of violence and filth. The first to devastate us is indeed "Gener(h)ate," a track made of fast tempos, interspersed with mid tempos heavy as rocks, an excellent piece in full Sepultura "Schizophrenia" style accompanied by the very evil voice of the singer who uses parts in screaming and parts in growl, making the piece in question even more violent. The second track is "Antination-Antiwar," a piece full of hatred that starts at the speed of light with powerful and precise drumming and guitars creating a wall of sound. Black influences can be noticed in the track, a very fast piece that at times reminds us of Kreator, especially in the faster parts. The third song is titled "Sudden perversion," here we move to a much more cadenced death, the brutal influences are there and are very noticeable in the central part of the piece. A piece that live will force us to move our heads like crazy, great central riff, heavy as Pantera teaches.
Continuing in this "Gener(h)ate we find "Raped years," a piece that continues in the same line as the previous one, a concentrate of aggressiveness and violence, the brutal influences are also noticeable here, great work from the rhythm section, bass and drums travel together creating a wall, excellent work from the guitars and voice as well, although, to tell the truth, this is the piece that convinces me least of all for the simple reason that the piece in question is seasoned with many open chords that take the place of the palm muting so dear to the genre. Too bad. The last track is a live excerpt, the song is titled "Bloodshed" which if I remember correctly, was one of the tracks from the first demo. Nothing to say about this piece, played in a precise and violent manner.
Listening to works like theirs, that of Hatred, Urto, memories of a lost soul, Zora and many, many others, I can only also affirm that the Italian underground scene is more alive than ever. Many excellent bands that are just waiting to be supported.
