LA RECENSIONE

"The masses are fools. Don't follow them"
These are the closing words of the opener "Avril Lavigne". And this must also be the philosophy of Laghetto. Diverge from the monotony of all those fake-depressed bands and (above all) from the stagnancy of the Italian scene.

The band from Bologna, after their fantastic debut album Sonate in Bu Minore per 400 Scimmiette Urlanti, returns with the new Pocapocalisse (another brilliant title!). What can I say? These guys are geniuses. They have lyrics that are stunningly hilarious in their absurdity (but this doesn’t necessarily mean they're "lighthearted"). And the musical part is no less.

Noise, Post-core, with a sprinkling of metal. All played with excellent command of the instruments and originality above average. And amidst all this, there’s even room for a ballad with just guitar and voice, extolling Roberto Dal Bosco, the photographer who threw the tripod at Silvio. Although, as Laghetto rightly points out, "try to aim better".
An excellent album, both for our ears and for the Italian scene, so lacking in true talent.
