THE REVIEW

Here is yet another thrash band from the Bay Area of San Francisco: beer can in one hand, guitar in the other, and a good dose of smoke always and unfailingly within reach.

The introduction to this review is a classic reaction that might have come over you, who in the '80s went crazy for Metallica, Slayer, and pretty much the whole American trash scene; and now you're tired of reminiscing about those times and that magnificent kind of music. Let’s be clear: I don't want to attack any fan of these two bands that I admire greatly. The band in question has traced an artistic path that begins with the demos dated 1983: (Prelude To Death, and Rock Forever), from the first album "City’s gonna burn," and onwards with "No stranger to danger" (rather roughly recorded). Then there are two great albums: "Know your enemy," and the masterpiece "Annihilation principle." Their career ends with the arrival of grunge, as they will no longer achieve public success; their last album is a live titled "Taste of rebellion".

360-degree Trash Metal, band in great shape, and even a fair bit of critical success, this is perhaps the best album of the San Francisco quintet. The album is strongly influenced by bands like Metallica and Anthrax, yet it remains a very good example of its genre. Every song is powerful and energetic: Fire in the hole and Mob Justice provide the listener with a clear idea of what they are capable of, and even more destructive are Chain of Fools and Bad blood. The true highlights of the work are the brilliant Shadow Company, a complex track full of wonderful riffs well interlocked with each other; and The Omen: a classic "ballad" in the Metallica style, melodic forefront and power that grows as the track progresses. Also present is a cover of the Hardcore Punk group Dead Kennedys, Holiday in Cambodia.

Very good! Before leaving you to the worse comments, I want to warn you that this document was written exclusively from a critic's perspective, not as a fan of the band.
