La Rappresentante di Lista is an indie music group formed in 2011, composed of Veronica Lucchesi and Dario Mangiarancina. They gained great fame at the Sanremo 2021 festival with the song "Amare," which ranked eleventh and allowed them to make it to the playlists of Italy's main radio stations, receiving excellent critical acclaim as well.

On July 9th of the same year, they released the song "Vita," included in the streaming re-edition of their album "My Mamma."

A small note should be made on the undeniable vocal abilities of Veronica Lucchesi and the musical talents of Mangiarancina (a multi-instrumentalist), which are especially evident and clear during the group's live performances.

"Vita" is an engaging track, arranged with clear dance references and some nods to the '80s disco. But perhaps its strong point is the lyrics. "O sei felice o sei complice" (Either you're happy or you're complicit), a phrase repeated in the chorus, has become the slogan of the two artists who composed the song in honor of the Sicilian artist Nino Gennaro who died of AIDS and who used to write and gift diaries. The phrase was contained in one of his writings, and everything started from there. It's an anthem to life, clear, sometimes shouted, but which in its musical development assumes a meaning of hope and openness to unpredictability. The participation of the renowned and talented writer Federica Abbate (who has also written for Mannoia, Michielin, Fedez, Bravi) in the drafting of the lyrics is noticeable.

The song is enriched by a beautiful video shot at the MAXXI museum in Rome, where the two artists dance and run inside the structure in a series of passages that seem to be cathartic and an ode to positivity.

In summary, an excellent effort, in my opinion, for this ongoing musical surprise that this group has turned out to be. An intense track, well-constructed, and also pleasantly catchy.
