What amazement to discover that the members of La Fortuna di Nashira are not yet twenty: but how did these kids who were still in high school manage to put together 6 songs of this kind? In this EP, "E' un paese per vecchi" (published by La Fattoria di Maldestra), there is everything needed to consider this work a stunning debut.

Let's start with the track that definitely impressed me the most: "Spezza il pane per giuda" is a perfect piece because there’s a combination of guitar/bass riffs that sticks in your head, an effective chorus despite always changing its face, and a very technical yet impactful drum groove. Also because the drummer is Pietro Borsò from Miriam Mellerin, one who can hold his own behind the drums despite being 19. In the other tracks, there are moments reminiscent of Capovilla like the chorus of "Claustrofobia", moments of spoken irony in the conclusive "Dicono che", and the excellent ballad "Hiroshima", where the tempo slows down but unlike the rubbish you hear on the radio, you can appreciate finesse in the composition and arrangements of truly high quality. If this is just the beginning, we can hope to hear a lot about this work because there are potentials rarely seen in such a young band.

Especially for the ability, present in every second of the EP, to mix great technique and melody. Let’s note this name, because La Fortuna di Nashira must become a name in the Italian independent scene.
