And so, here we have Ducoli again! The minstrel from Breno has once more poured his heart into publishing his fourth CD, presented as "a record and a book, practically the same thing", under the collective name of "La Banda del Ducoli", and be aware that he deeply values this ensemble.

From the beginning, where the bagpipes and a night club atmosphere introduce "Sgangherata", it is immediately clear that this is an album that couldn't be more "ducolian", with songs suspended between the harsh reality and his dreams, describing stories of women, alcohol, and nightlife, preferably in venues where there's a good piano, smoke, and a paycheck to spend. Noteworthy in "Maledetta Africa" is a veiled but ironic dig at those characters who annoy you with their theories on success. To use his words, it is "a story that moves between the grotesque and the surreal in comedic and hilarious situations, guiding the reader in the search for a personal victory that for some of the characters simply means justice."

Ultimately, it is always Ducoli with his personality, his charm, his beauty (I write this so he'll be happy…), and with his great Band, Massimo Saviola on bass and double bass, Lorenzo Lama on guitars, Arcangelo Buelli, the small great drummer, and Renato Saviori on piano. Make sure to stay updated on their concert dates because this is an absolutely unmissable group. For more information, visit www.labandadelducoli.it, Ducoli's website.
