THE REVIEW

Kylie Minogue celebrates 25 years of her career in various ways, one of which is greatly appreciated by fans. After putting together a special tour with unreleased tracks, rare and never-before-sung songs, titled "Anti Tour"; after returning to the top of the worldwide charts with the single "Timebomb," the only new track of this period, and after releasing a new "Best of," Kylie gifts her fans another collection that feels like a true studio album: "The Abbey Road Sessions." Not even Madonna has managed to create an album in those studios where the Beatles also sang and recorded.

Kylie's album "The Abbey Road Sessions" is an acoustic journey through songs we all know: 16 hits from 1987 to today revisited in a splendid manner; from I Should Be So Lucky to The Locomotion, Better The Devil You Know, and Finer Feelings; from Confide In Me to Can't Get You Out of My Head, from Come Into My World to All The Lovers; ending beautifully, among others, with Flower (the first single that anticipates this arduous yet intense project).

The album is released in four versions: standard, deluxe edition, digital, and vinyl; the cover features a Kylie Minogue typically with a 90s look, it's easy to see a look reminiscent of Kylie’s work with the deConstruction label from 1994-1998: the dark years but where Minogue created great masterpieces, like Where the Wild Roses Grow with Nick Cave: this track is included in "The Abbey Road Sessions."

In conclusion, I would say that this album recorded live in London is an excellent appetizer for the next studio album, Kylie Minogue's twelfth album, scheduled for early 2013. Lady Gaga, Madonna, Britney, Christina... start trembling and, most importantly, take notes. Kylie continues to shine.
