Every time Kylie Minogue works with Jake Shares (of the Scissor Sisters), a hit is born. It’s no coincidence that "The Other Boys" became an instant success upon its release and is set to become the pop dance anthem of fall-winter 2015/2016. Different from "I Believe in You" from 2005, much more edgy and pumped, it becomes a club hit and takes us back a bit to the '80s thanks to the collaboration with Nile Rodgers of Chic (an '80s dance group); but it also becomes a global success thanks to the push from the production by the Nervo Sisters, currently the best at creating sought-after and highly original dance music.
Within the track, Kylie has a part as a vocalist, but everything is so well-crafted that it sounds like a purely Kylie Minogue record. The video has already generated quite a bit of excitement even though it's very simple, with Kylie, Jake, and the Nervo Sisters dancing in a garage. Everything is beautiful, colorful, and very gay-friendly.
Surely this record will soon reach the top of the dance and pop charts, bridging the wait for Kylie Minogue's upcoming Christmas album, which is due for release in two weeks.
Thank you, Kylie and Jake, for making us dance and have fun.
