THE REVIEW

To grasp the intrinsic meaning, not only literal and tied to the lyrics but also sonic, of the new album by the immense Kreator, it is sufficient to list the titles of the ten tracks: "Hordes Of Chaos (A Necrologue For The Elite)", "Warcurse", "Escalation", "Amok Run", "Destroy What Destroys You", "Radical Resistance", "Absolute Misanthropy", "To The Afterborn", "Corpses Of Liberty" and "Demon Prince".

Images of devastation, proud assertion and protest, relentless revolt and fight against all forms of abuse, control and arrogance of the (few) strong over the (many) weak or those unaware of their condition, because they are clouded by a society that has reduced them to slaves of consumption and nothingness. Four years after "Enemy Of God", the band of Mille Petrozza and Jürgen "Ventor" Reil (founding members, twenty-seven years ago), here supported by Sami Yli-Sirniö on guitar and Christian "Speesy" Giesler on bass, return more determined and ferocious than ever, and a piece like the title track positioned at the beginning has the task of explaining what the album's content will be.

Although the work marks a return to a less manipulated and more direct studio recording, in order to achieve a result close to what will be the impact of the tracks live, Kreator do not give up on their primary characteristic, that is, mutation (which at the absolute peak led them to compose "Renewal") even in a defined context, which in this specific case is thrash metal.

Thirty-eight minutes and thirty-two seconds of barbaric musical assault with a dynamic and tight sound, ready to strike the listener with unheard ferocity to tear them apart, among blistering instrumental accelerations, granite and steel groove, definitive riffs, and structural changes that break through! Unmistakable and unique, they once again present themselves as undisputed leaders.

The recording was done entirely in analog, and apart from the vocals, it was recorded live!!!!!!

We’re facing the best Kreator album since the times of 'Renewal'.
