THE REVIEW

In other words: different classics from various Kraftwerk albums reworked by the band themselves and assembled into a single record. In other words, as the title might suggest, it's a remix album.

Just to clarify, you can listen to tracks like "Autobahn," "Radioactivity," and "Trans Europe Express" (from various albums) one after the other, but with even more prominent electronic sounds and rhythms: evidently, Kraftwerk reworked them to bring them up to date with the times, that is, with the new decade of the nineties (the album is from '91, in fact).

The originals are obviously unique, but these remixes are a fun and carefree alternative, and they even have some novelties: almost always (even in tracks like "Autobahn") a good variety of electronic vocalizations has been added for the most devoted fans and others; there are two continuations of "Pocket Calculator" and "Trans Europe Express," namely "Dentaku" and "Abzug" (just to clarify in advance what these two new titles consist of; the rest of the list is "known").

Moreover, I repeat, the rhythms have sometimes been modified and made (perhaps) more appealing and danceable for the "new" audience. Personally, I found it a bit long (their records usually last around 40 minutes, while this one lasts over an hour), however, certain singles present here can captivate you as much as the originals. Up to you.

It feels like exploring the future in an '80s sci-fi vision.

Kraftwerk was able to give rise to a vast array of musical genres such as new wave, new-romantic/synth-pop, and ’80s dance.
