Slamchosis

Kraanium is certainly not a novice band, and this "Slamchosis" is proof of that, the first album with the new singer and constant support from their brutal label, Comatose Music, always synonymous with a guarantee of the heaviest fringe of Death Metal.

Having reached their fifth album in 2018, how will it sound you may ask?

We start off strong right away with the opening track "Bound To Kill", their brutal death metal is as devastating as in the beginning, plenty of sonic filth with guttural growl at the forefront and turns with a more corrosive and acidic Slam-Death flavor. Sudden breaks in blast beat and more mosh-driven and deliberate parts alternate seamlessly. A sonic wall that will make your room's walls tremble! "Blob Of Inhuman Metamorphic Transfusion" immediately kicks off with a beastly pig squeal from the new singer! Otherwise, it's a sonic massacre of drums, bass, and guitars. In this, they are very reminiscent of the early seminal Devourment, although there are fewer slow parts and the drums are constantly blasted at lightning speed.

"Gratification Through Annihilation" if possible increases the bpm and truly presents itself as a steamroller leaving the dead and wounded behind, the beauty of this music is exactly that, there is no limit to the sonic extremism these shamans of brutal know how to immortalize. "Forced Rectal Exhumation" takes no prisoners with its ever-evolving blast beats and artificial guitar harmonics that are always a pleasure to hear and make the sound of this album a battleship with furious riff changes and tempos that unravel amidst the song's coils. "Slamchosis," the title track lasts about a minute and a half but the filthy growl of the singer is always present and receives praise for not making us miss his predecessor.

How will a track titled "Larva Infested Cum Sluts" sound you may wonder? Just as you imagine it. Fast, dark, and uncompromising in its sonic extremism. The growl, if possible, becomes even deeper and more lacerating, "Midget Fucker" and "Slam Her Guts Out."

To finish "Face Fucked With A Brick" and "Putrescent Indulgence" only continue to perpetuate this barrage of precise and lacerating blast beats in their repetitiveness with singing and riffing that demolish bodies and reduce them to shreds, with those growl-guttural vocals that I so enjoy, meanwhile the riff changes become tighter and more devastating in their brutality.

Albums like these should be the bread and butter for every respectable brutal fan! A thread below expectations compared to "Post-Mortal Coital Fixation" of 2012, for me their best album, but nonetheless the devastation is always of truly fine craftsmanship when listening to this "Slamchosis"! And at the end of the last track the fateful admission between a woman and a man who thus defines themselves:

"You Are A Monster?!"
