LA RECENSIONE

"D'amortelocanto" is the third album by Kleinkief, following their first two works "Il sesso degli angeli" and "Colori dolciumi e fotocopie."

Hardcore, shouting at the top of one's lungs with very few more "pop" openings would have given no hint of a turn towards such a unique sound. After the stunning piano intro, the songs reveal a sound filtered through a psychotropic-psychedelic haze. The male and female singers' voices blend with the keyboards, a true touch of constant class throughout the album.

The lyrics, at times surreal and at times poetic, are sung in an ethereal, sometimes whispered manner. Once these songs are absorbed, they will reveal all their sweet melodies that will strike you with their beauty despite the extremely acidic sound (in a very psychedelic!!! way). Everything is written in Italian, although there is often an English phrase here and there, which actually fits quite well.

Unfortunately, since 2001, I have no news of any new work by Kleinkief nor of their disbandment or anything else, we wait with hope.
