The KLEE Project is a project that is based – at least for now – on the “in studio” scenario only, without any live date scheduled. A choice that we could define as obvious when considering the formation of this Roman band, which includes, besides the two minds Roberto Sterpetti (vocals and guitar) and Erk Scutti (ex Cheope and Figure Of Six), artists of the caliber of Marco Sfogli (PFM, James LaBrie), Lorenzo Poli (Vasco Rossi, Nek), and Antonio Aronne (Figure Of Six). The union of intentions has brought forth "The Long Way," an album that – as one might expect – will not disappoint those who make hard-rock their primary source of music. An album that in some ways wants to sound modern, trying to unite the classic clichés of the genre with unusual elements (such as the symphonic orchestra directed by Maestro Francesco Santucci and the collaboration with the renowned artist Tina Guo), instilling the right amount of passion and taste. The concept of "The Long Way" narrates the American dream of a musician, a journey made of passion, difficult moments, and an unexpected interlude of love that offers even more life to the whole work thanks to well-conceived ballads with a strong American flavor. But what is particularly enjoyable about this work is the energy transmitted by the heavier aspects, starting with the first single "Everybody Knows," certainly an excellent calling card for the quintet. Having such talented musicians in the lineup has allowed them not to fall into the obvious or repetitive, giving each single episode its own artistic soul, a trait more unique than rare in an environment where almost everything has been said as in hard 'n' heavy. A more than recommended purchase for enthusiasts of the genre (and not only).
