The Profile

Kingston Wall were a Finnish psychedelic/progressive rock trio from Helsinki formed in 1987 by guitarist/vocalist Petri Walli with bassist Jukka Jylli and drummer Sami Kuoppamäki. They released three studio albums— I (1992), II (1993), and III – Tri-Logy (1994)—and became a cult favorite for their fusion of heavy psychedelia, spacey textures, and virtuoso musicianship. The band ceased activity in 1994; Petri Walli died in 1995.

Finnish psychedelic/progressive rock trio active 1987–1994; core lineup: Petri Walli (guitar, vocals), Jukka Jylli (bass), Sami Kuoppamäki (drums). Three studio albums released 1992–1994. Petri Walli died in 1995.

Two reviews praise Kingston Wall’s psychedelic, spacey blend and virtuosic trio interplay. Vol. II is hailed as a career-defining compendium with rich rhythms, Hendrix/Floyd echoes, and a bold I Feel Love cover. Tri-Logy is framed as a mystical, trance-inducing concept, steeped in expansive textures and mantras. Petri Walli’s guitar leadership and the tight rhythm section are central throughout.
