THE REVIEW

“Riot on an empty street”, formidable Album.
These cold Norwegian guys with a warm heart, Eirik Glambek Bøe and Erlend Øye, and the sweet Leslie Feist, perfectly recreate a San Lorenzo evening, lying by the shore chasing shooting stars to wish for something we are afraid to ask for.
The silence, the darkness, the calm sea, and the full moon reflecting like a silvery expanse of tranquility, such are their songs, such is “Riot on An Empty Street”, those answers that are formulated in the silence of our thoughts, a breeze of sweetness and nostalgia of past times, each note, each tone like a velvet rose petal that grazes the face leaving a remarkable and persistent fragrance.
Their simple voices combined with the acoustic guitar and occasionally a trumpet create that soft floating clarity and linearity, a blend and fuel of the heart.

This album can accompany every moment of our day whether the sun is shining or not, whether there is a smile or not, whether there is a partner or not.
Songs full of love that squeeze you until you are suffocated by that peace desired by the soul, there is no need to point out any particular one to describe it because they all are equally like sweet cotton candy that melts and sticks to the skin, on the fingers, good to lick.
Their listening is tireless, each song is a whisper, a murmur in the ear, a call of cuddles and caresses, emotional and sentimental whispers on the skin.
Excellent album, I would say one of the many pure diamond tips, definitely a must-have, …I forgot, the already mentioned great resemblance to the duo of Simon and Garfunkel (just to remind it again), although they taste only of themselves…

Delicate, intimate, and so innocently young like its authors.

It almost feels possible to recognize some familiar voices (Simon & Garfunkel above all in Surprise Ice).
