The Profile

Kina are an Italian hardcore punk band from Aosta, active from 1982 to 1997. Known for a strong DIY ethic and their BluBus Records imprint, they helped shape Italy’s underground scene with emotionally direct, politically aware songs and acclaimed releases such as Parlami Ancora and Se ho vinto Se ho perso.

From Valle d’Aosta; long-running DIY via BluBus Records. The BluBus cooperative ceased in 1998, but Kina records continued to be reprinted and distributed (per Sergio Milani). The original blue tour bus was scrapped in 1995. The band declined multiple label offers. After Kina, members continued with Frontiera (from 1999).

Three reviews celebrate Kina’s legacy in Italian hardcore, focusing on Parlami Ancora and Se ho vinto Se ho perso. The band’s DIY ethos and BluBus Records loom large. One piece is a Q&A with Sergio Milani on the scene and reprints. Overall tone: affectionate, nostalgic, and admiring.
