Being a musician in Brazil means being immersed in an unprecedented musical cauldron, it means being subjected to some of the most diverse musical influences, and throughout his career, the phenomenal lead guitarist of ANGRA absorbs every musical inclination presented to him like a sponge, then reinterpreting it with an unmistakable personal style.
In this solo work, Kiko Loureiro takes 16 years of his guitar music culture (ranging from rock to fusion to jazz) and creates a unique, homogeneous, and delightful work in all its musicalities. The native from São Paulo, like his "colleague" from Porto Alegre, Frank Solari, while diving headfirst into marked distortions in almost all the instrumental pieces composing his work "NO GRAVITY," manages to maintain beautiful and very interesting melodic lines that at times blend into somewhat Vinnie Moor-y and Vai-an styles (pardon the terms) of the early '90s.
In the album's production, Kiko uses a certain Terrana on drums (Yngwie Malmsteen, Macalpine, Rage, Axel Rudi Pell), and he alone handles the aspects of percussion in general, keyboards, piano, and bass (which he plays), taking care not only of the structure and arrangements but also actively participating in the mixing phase that took place along with the recording in Germany, at the "House of Audio studios."
13 completely instrumental tracks for the following tracklist:
01. Enfermo
02. Endangered Species
03. Escaping
04. No Gravity
05. Pau-de-Arara
06. La Force de L´Âme
07. Tapping Into My Dark Tranquility
08. Moment of Truth
09. Beautiful Language
10. In a Gentle Way
11. Dilemma
12. Feliz Desilusão
13. Choro de Criança
To highlight (according to my personal point of view) these pieces:
Enfermo: the opening song, with at times dark and progressive sounds with a truly stunning solo guitar leitmotif that frames a very intense hard track.
Beautiful Language: 2 minutes of classical-acoustic guitar in a strict Brazilian style, just to recall the origins of ANGRA's soloist.
Pau-de-Arara: A minute of intro with a 12-string acoustic, hinting at a slow ballad... nothing could be further from a ballad... spine-chilling.
Dilemma: the riff accompanying the song is beautiful, a rhythmically very intense piece with a Terrana reproducing a typically Stratovarius drum, leaving a free OUTBURST for the São Paulo native, FA-BU-LOUS!
In short, an all-around artist playing multiple instruments, multiple musical genres, and not oppressed by obligations to a production company breathing down the neck of countless artists, pushing them to produce music compulsively, taking the time he wants, and after years of gestation, manages to launch onto the market a straightforward and sincere product. Simply HIS music.

Kiko neither shows off like a peacock nor performs a tracklist of Himalayan efforts.
"No Gravity" stands out and astounds me every time because almost 5 years have passed.
