Kesha releases her second album titled "Warrior", an album that has the challenging task of bringing the Californian blonde back to the top of all the charts, as was the case two years ago with "Animal" which sold three million copies and was driven by a smash hit like Tik Tok that we recall was the most downloaded single of 2009!

The album as a whole is much more mature than the previous one but the underlying problem is the excess production and the overwhelming presence of producer Dr. Luke.

According to the singer herself, the album was supposed to be rock, but that wasn't the case. In fact, we can say that it is a rather schizophrenic album as it transitions from the track Dirty Love with rock sounds, featuring the legendary Iggy Pop, to the dubstep of Warrior.

The album begins with Warrior, which in my opinion is the best song on the record. This Warrior is an uptempo track with electronic sounds, perfect for dancing, and the chorus immediately sticks in your head. In my opinion, this track has all the qualities to do well on the charts. The lyrics talk about being a warrior and overcoming all adversities.

The second and third tracks generally follow the style of the first, that is, all uptempo with electronic influences, and for this reason, they were released as the first and second singles. If Die Young was a smash hit (number 2 in America with two platinum records), C'mon did not have this luck, as, in my opinion, it is the weakest and most predictable track of the project.

The fourth track, Thinking of You, cleverly mixes rock and electronic sounds, resulting in something really not bad, although I wouldn't recommend it as a single as it's not very radio-friendly. Crazy Kids is the third single from the project, which received a lukewarm reception on the charts. The beginning makes you think of a 90s pop song, only to drift back into electronic sounds. The lyrics, as always, are banal and repetitive. Whenever U Are is the typical electronic and predictable song, similar to track number 11, All That Matters.

And here we have the much-feared duet with one of the most important rock figures in the world, Iggy Pop!! The result is a pleasant and radio-friendly track, a possible single!

Wonderland and Only Wanna Dance with You are the classic fillers of the album. Supernatural is a very possible single as it is radio-friendly and gets stuck in your head from the first listen, absolutely approved!! And what are the lyrics about? Simple, a sexual encounter with a ghost... Love into the Light is the real surprise of the album, a nice RnB-style ballad.

I recommend purchasing the deluxe version only simply for one song, the most beautiful in my opinion by Kesha, I'm talking about Last Goodbye, a real bomb just waiting to be released as the fourth single!

In conclusion, I think Kesha could have done a better job in these two years. I'm not saying it's a project to be trashed, but it's certainly not the album of the century. It's clear Kesha wanted to experiment, and she partially succeeded (Love into the Light), and partially didn’t (Gold Trans Am).

My rating is 7/10

"The lyrics do talk about dying young but in the sense that these young people have no future without jobs and education."

"The album closes with 'Love Into the Light,' a track that gives us hope for a good future, the light at the end of the tunnel is closer for everyone."
