Kawabata Makoto, the "guru" of Acid Mother Temple, is a small man, with hair so long it covers his nameplate (and if he were a girl, I couldn't forgive him for that..). I had the chance to see him live in my area, armed with his inseparable guitar, complete with a bow and, for possible even more furious improvisational outbursts than usual, an alarm clock and a vacuum cleaner (gulp!!). He won't use these two instruments that have given so much to music (??), because with the substantial series of pedals at his disposal, good Kawabata will do a great job of shattering our eardrums in a way that not even the studio assistants of Wanna Marchi have reached.
The album in question roughly revisits the themes of the concert: clearly instrumental, and clearly guitar&delay machine. The small great guitarist has class, technique, and imagination, no need to say it.
Recommended: for those who are fed up with his usual riffs with A.M.T..
Not recommended: for those who still get excited with The Edge's riffs from U2 (as long as he enjoys, let him enjoy).
