THE REVIEW

Her appearance will never do her justice... one with such a sweet name, a small blonde girl, 17 years old... who resembles Avril Lavigne so incredibly, what could she possibly do? She's one of those typical young girls with nothing new to offer, trying the current trend, the teen/rock/pop music.

But you are gravely mistaken, and I strongly recommend buying her first and only album, Because I Can, because she reveals her other cards, firstly her significant family background of musicians: her father Kim Bullard was a keyboardist for CSN&Y, Poco, Grateful Dead in the '70s and her mother was a backup singer in various now-disbanded groups.
And these roots can be felt in her slightly gritty, varied, and decisive rock, her voice is not clean at all, sometimes it's thrown out there, but always spontaneous, and her words are sometimes sharp blades, sung with grit, with strength and supported by engaging, sometimes delirious arrangements, and other times soft and decadent.

There are no songs to discard, because each has its own meaning, its own reason to exist, for example the beautiful title track, sweetly sung with confused words says "...the glass is cold when I touch my face, but I can taste my salty tears" or in "Snowflakes", the only song where the piano is present, she shows herself to be more fragile, totally contrasting with the energetic "I Like," "Overdrive," and above all "Vacation," two brief minutes of hysterical and uncontrolled screams.

Additionally, it's worth noting that in many songs the girl not only sings and writes most of the lyrics, but she also plays the drums. Here the potential to become an established rocker is all there, truly all there, and I invite you to listen to her if you don't believe it, and I swear BECAUSE SHE CAN!
