Just a few introductory words for one of those albums I would call useless: Ryan Raddon, better known as Kaskade, is an American DJ and producer who has been active for about ten years and with "Fire & Ice" reaches his ninth (!!) studio work. As I said, we are talking about a fundamentally useless album, like all those by various David Guetta and Swedish House Mafia, since the songs on the album are easily available online 'detached' from the rest of the album, which therefore perhaps aims at the only goal of the artist to make some money.
An album built around singles therefore (like the latest by David Guetta, by the way), but there is nothing wrong with that: since I was a kid, I've hidden a party side, well 'protected' by my rocker soul, but give me tracks like "Turn It Down," "Lessons in Love" or "Ice" and you will make me very happy (just like there were many anthems in Guetta's "Nothing But the Beat"). That said, the album is divided into two parts, just like (guess who? come on, it's easy) David Guetta did with his latest release. The first part, titled "Fire," features 10 son... actually, it features 10 dance singles ready for radio airplay, although there are a few slightly weaker moments. The second part, titled "Ice," offers as many remixes of the 'fiery' songs, thus resulting in the less interesting part from a commercial point of view.
As I already mentioned: a useless album, songs too easy-listening, not many copies sold but enough to get noticed on the web, leading to a massive amount of downloads. David Guetta docet.
