LA RECENSIONE

On September 11, the EP “Borderline” was released by Borderline Records and distributed across all digital platforms and stores, also available in Dance remix and Slow versions.

An acoustic guitar riff that takes us into a future house atmosphere and, as the chorus promises, “Where you are is where I'll be/ Where you are is home to me”: it not only stays with you, in your mind, but it also perfectly describes the live Format that Karol and Bruce are eager to bring to the cities where the Radio Show is already airing”, says Francesca Saglia. However, I wanted to ask a few questions, maybe uncomfortable but... mine.

  1. Karol and Bruce, welcome. "Borderline" seems much more like a soundtrack for your Radio Show rather than just a standalone single. Where does your format originate from?

B: Thanks for having us! The radio show was our response to the impossibility of doing our live shows during the evenings.

K: Yes, let's say we were bored during quarantine, and we decided to embark on this new adventure! As for Borderline, the song, it was indeed created as a theme for our program, since we are the authors and producers of our records, we decided to create something tailor-made for our show. Borderliners, do you like my little voice??

  1. Borderline is a format with a capital "F", here we exclusively talk about events of a certain caliber. What is Borderline and what is your motto?

B: Our motto is "Open The Gates and let the music play" and that already explains a bit. Our format aims to be an escape from reality. We want our Borderliners, once they enter our evening, to just enjoy themselves, without life's worries.

K: Exactly! With our shows, we want to create a unique atmosphere. We have many nice surprises ready, waiting to be unveiled. We have worked for months on choreographies and ideas to make our format a spectacle.

  1. Now, to conclude, what should we expect for the future from two such artistic minds as yours?

K: A ton of madness! (laughs)

As for the format, we are waiting, like our entire sector, for the green light to start programming. But we have never stopped, we are currently working on a lot of things and I am driving our Bruce Blayne crazy with long studio sessions, we are already preparing for 2021. (laughs) Besides having many surprises for our radio listeners, we will have more and more interesting guests in our interviews.

B: Yes, let's say that this period, despite everything, has been very productive. We have quite a few surprises in the pipeline for the new year, in addition to a couple of things already coming out this year!
